One of the earliest gorgeous map of Lithuania issued by Gerard Mercator – Jodocus Hondius. This is one of the maps which includes Gerhard Marcator’s name as the map maker.  Comes from french edition atlas – “Gerardi Mercatoris Atlas sive cosmographicae meditationes de fabrica mundi et fabricati figura … Editio qvarta. Amsterodami, Iudoci Hondij An. D. 1619″ published in Amsterdam, by J. Hondius, 1619.

Condition:
Good condition, original hand colouring, as usual brownish paper. Small wormhole in the center. Paper with map maker’s watermark. Middle fold as issued.
