Very rare and detailed map of Lithuania and parts of Poland, Latvia and Belarus. It also includes numerous coats of arms in the body of the map and two large decorative cartouches.
The map comes from Coronelli’s atlas “Isolare Descrttione”.
The remarkable Vincenzo Coronelli, encyclopaedist, geographer, inventor and Doctor of Theology, was citizen of the Republic of Venice. He was also one of the most prominent mapmakers and publishers in Europe of his day.
