Description:
Large map of Portugal and Spain with the Balearic Islands. In the lower right corner, an oval card formed by palms containing the title and the author; around it has an empty shield with a royal crown, Golden Fleece collar, military trophies, various allegorical figures, such as Fame and Victory, a war scene and a boarding pier, on which the Archduke Charles of Austria appears with armor, Golden Fleece and scepter, standing and resting on a pedestal decorated with the double-headed imperial eagle.

Comes from Gerard & Leonard Valk atlas “Atlas minor sive Totius orbis terrarum contracta delinea ex conatibus Nic. Visscher. Amst. Bat : Apud Nicolaum Visscher Cum privil: ordin: general: belgii foederati. Ger. de Lairesse detin & Sculp.”  published in Amsterdam, 1705.
