Title:                      “Planiglobii Terrestris Mappa Universalis Utrumqs Hemisphaerium Orient et Occidentale…MDCCXXXVI”​

Description:
Homann Heirs double hemisphere map of the world, with four additional hemispheric maps and two celestial models. The map was compiled by J.M. Haas, Professor of Mathematics at Wittenberg. Includes incomplete Australia and New Zealand, fanciful NW Coast of America based upon the early Russian explorations, and mythical images of the Poles. Very decorative title cartouches in upper left hand right hand corner containing the titles, one in Latin and the other French. Map dated!
