An early Sebastian Munster’s woodcut town view of Augsburg, Bavaria region, Germany. The map depicts the city’s fortified walls, rivers (including the Lech), churches, towers, two coat of arms: Augsburg and The Holy Roman Empire.

Map comes from the German edition of Sebastian Münster’s Cosmography, titled “Cosmographey oder beschreibung aller Länder…”, published in 1553 by Heinrich Petri in Basel.
