Very decorative map of Poland from “Geography cioe descrittione universale della terra partita … Gio Ant. Magi … Vol. I-II. Venetia 1598 Apresso Gio Battista and Giorgio Galignani Fratelli” containing a reduced mapping of G. Mercator in Geography. C. Ptolemy developed and published by Galignani Fratelli GB & G. in Venice. The map was published by Venetian publisher and engraver G. Porro. The quality of these maps has outweighed the previous editions and was used in the 1596, 1608, 1617 and Italian 1598, 1612 editions as well as in later reissues of the sixteenth century.
