Description:
Very detailed antique map depicting the islands of Cuba, Hispaniola, Jamaica, Puerto Rico and Margarita. The map includes an inset plan of Havana harbor and featuring very decorative  pictorial relief, sea monsters, sailing ships, and elaborate strapwork cartouches.

Comes from the rare Dutch edition atlas “Atlas ofte Afbeeldinghe Vande Gantsche Weerldt: Daer in vertoont worden seer vele caerten van alle de voornaemste coninckrycken, landen en provintien, van Europa, Asia, Africa en America, met de beschryvingen van het ghene daer in ghedenckweerdich…” published in Amsterdam, by H. Hondius, 1634.
