Description:
Decorative and very detailed map of German Austria, extending from Venice and the Gulf of Trieste to Prag and Nuremberg, and from Strasburg and Heidelberg to Pressburg and Vienna. It includes the regions which are today Italy, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Bavaria (Germany) and Austria. The beautiful title cartouche shows the coats of arms of the provinces represented Moravia, Silesia, Bohemia, Austria, Tyrolis, Carniola, Stiria and Carinthia.
The map comes from the Johann Baptist Homann atlas “Atlas Novus Terrarum Orbis Imperia…“ published in Nuremberg 1720.
