Highly decorative title page, from Italian edition of De L’Isle’s atlas “Atlante Novissimo” published by Girolamo Albrizzi in Venice, 1740.
It shows architectural framework with Roman soldiers and 2 putti. On center top the Jesuit symbol the Society of Jesus present and at the bottom the view of Venice St Mark’s Square.
