Description:

Rare miniature map of Poland, the second edition, showing The Kingdom of Poland and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania coat of arms with Poniatovskii’s Bull and the genealogical tree illustrates the origin of the king Stanisław II August, the last monarch of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth.

This map was part of twenty maps sheet. They all were trimmed to their borderlines and folded and mounted in such a way that when unfolded they appear outside the book, enabling the student to both see the map and read all the relevant text.

Comes from Johann Friedrich Hähn book “Kurze Erläuterung einer in Kupfer gestochenen Vorstellung des Erdbodens, worauf XX. kleinen Charten das Nöthigste aus der Geographie, Genealogie, Chronologie, Historie, Heraldik und Numismatik für die Anfänger dieser Wissenschaften entworfen zum Gebrauch der Realschule in Berlin.” published in Berlin, 1774.
