Title: “Beschreibung der Statt Wirtzburg…”
The original woodcut shows a view of the city of Würzburg am Main in Lower Franconia – Bavaria! To see the mighty fortress Marienberg above the town, underneath the magnificent medieval town development with the roads and paths, houses and churches and the Fortified wall around the city. At the upper margin with title “Herbipoli (s) Wirtzburg” and two coats of arms and a Legend one of the lower-left corner.

Good condition, strong print and paper, beautiful colour, slightly brownish or stained, center fold is restored / reinforced, minor retouches in center fold down and the top of the fortress view, marginal crease.
This is a genuine antique map published in 1598 and not a modern copy or reprint!
