Description:
Münster’s map of Poland, Lithuania, the Ukraine, Moscovy and the Balkans extends from Prussia, Memel (Klaipėda) and Smolensky in the north to Bosnia, Bulgaria, Constantinople and the Crimea in the south, but is centered on Poland.

Map comes from the German edition of Sebastian Münster’s Cosmography, titled “Cosmographey: das ist, Beschreibung aller Länder, Herrschafften, vnd fürnemesten Stetten, des gantzen Erdbodens : sampt jhren Gelegenheiten, Eygenschafften, Religion, Gebräuchen, Geschichten vnd Handtierungen, etc.”, published in 1614 by Heinrich Petri in Basel.
