Attractive map of the part of the Ukraine and the region between the Black Sea and Caspian Sea extending south to include all of Armenia Maior and part of Armenia Minoris, based upon Claudius Ptolemy. Includes Hyperborei and symbols of the house and columns of Alexander. Latin text and tables on verso.

Comes from the Latin edition of Magini’s “Geographiae Universae tum Veteris tum Novae Absolutissimum” engraved by Girolamo Porro, edited by Ioannes Ianssonius, published in Arnheim, 1617.
