Rare and very decorative “carte à figures” map of Denmark, based on John Speed’s map of 1626. The side borders have each 5 traditional costumes, above and below are 8 views of Copenhagen, Helsingor, Landskrona, Ribe, Schleswig, Hamburg, Lübeck, Oldenburg, Kronen and Oranienburg. Includes a portrait of Tycho Brahe bottom center and portraits of the king and queen.
