Title:          “Potentissimae Helvetiorum Reipublicae Cantones Tredecim cum Foederatis et Subjectis Provinciis…”

Description:

Decorative and very detailed map of Switzerland, showing the area from Lago Maggiore in the south to Lake Constance in the north, Geneva in the west, Landeck in the east. The large title cartouche shows 13 coat of arms of the cantons and 20 coat of arms of large cities. Bottom left a scene of a local cheese diary.

The map comes from the Johann Baptist Homann atlas “Atlas Novus Terrarum Orbis Imperia…“ published in Nuremberg 1720.
