Title:          “Nova Et Exactissima Totius Italiae Sardiniae et Coricae Delineatio Opera Et Impensis Matth. Seutteri, S.C.M. Geogr Aug. V.”

Description:

Rare issue map of Italy and the islands of Corsica, Sardinia and part of northern Sicily. Surrounding the title cartouche the figures holding crowns, musical instruments and swords. Above the title inscription is an image of the sun with two keys criss-crossed. Above the scale in the lower left corner is an image of cherubim flying over a globe while classical figures recline below with books and an easel.

Comes from Matthaus Seutter atlas “Grosser Atlas” published in Augsburg 1742.
