Title:                   “Plan de la Ville de Meaco; A. Quartier du Dayri, ou Empereur hereditaire. B. Palais du Cubosama.”​


Description:

Detailed and unusual antique copper engraved Plan of Kyoto, ancient named Meaco, when it was the capital of the country. The block pattern of the city is laid out and is encircled by the Kamo River. Engraved by Guillaume Dheulland and decorated by a compass rose with north oriented to the left.

Condition:
Very good condition. Wide margins. Watermarked paper with strong print. Folding lines as originally issued. Small repair in the left margin.
