Description:
Attractive and large antique copper engraving of cosmography, presenting a terrestrial globe, a celestial globe, two armillary spheres, two spheres illustrating the theories of the Universe of Copernicus and Tycho Brahe, and various representations of the planets. It was drawn up by geographer Charles François Delamarche, successor to Robert de Vaugondy, and published by his son Félix Delamarche, mechanical engineer for globes and spheres in the atlas “Nouvel Atlas Portatif…“, engraved by E. Passy.
