Title:                 “Europam sive Celticam Veterem, sic Describere Conabar Abrahamus Ortelius”​

Description:
This is rare Janssonius map of Europe. It is based on Ortelius’ map of the same title and credits him in the title cartouche. It covers Celtic Europe and is fully engraved with forests, mountains and rivers, and there are several ancient tribal and place names. Comes from J. Jansson’s atlas  ‘Nouvel atlas, ou Theatre du Monde‘.
