Description:

The rare miniature woodblock map of Italy, Holy Land (Israel) and Greece (verso). The maps in Honter’s books were printed back-to back, so the verso of this map includes half of the map of Greece and half of the map of Holy Land.

Map comes from Johannes Honterus’s “Rudimentorum cosmographicorum libri III, Cum tabellis geographicis elegantiss(imis)“, published in Basel, 1565.
