Very rare panoramic view of Koblenz, a historic city in present-day Germany, comes from Belleforest revised French edition of Münster’s cosmography under the title “La Cosmographie universelle de tout le monde“.
Although the content of the work is based on Münster’s cosmography, most of the views have been re-engraved and differ for the most part from Münster’s original. In addition, Belleforest created numerous views that can be found only in his work.
