Title:          “Regnorum Hispaniae et Portugalliae Tabula Generalis jam nuper edita, nunc denuo revisa, aucta e ad Usum Scholarum

Description:

Very detailed and impressive map of Spain and Portugal. In the lower right corner large cartouche adorned with a beautiful engraving depicting an episode of the Spanish War of Succession, the embarkation of troops at sea, directed by Archduke Carlos. In the lower part an angel holds the shields of Spain and Portugal.

The map comes from the Johann Baptist Homann atlas “Atlas Novus Terrarum Orbis Imperia…“ published in Nuremberg 1730.
