Description:
Very rare and highly detailed miniature map of Memel city (Klaipėda, Lithuania). It is detailed view of the year 1757 19th of June march of the Russian army to Prussia and the siege of the Memel fortress from land and sea during the Seven Years’ War.
This map was issued by Beaurain in 1765, both to serve as one of the border illustrations added to his great wall map recording the events of the Seven Years’ War, “Carte de Allemagne…”, and as a separately-issued map (particular map), mounted on larger piece of paper and bound into a made-to-order atlas.
