French world atlas, complete with all 56 contemporary coloured border copper engravings, including 4 world-maps and maps of the continents.
Charles Francois Delamarche (1740-1817) was a Parisian geographer and publisher. He bought the copper plates of Didier Robert de Vaugondy and reissued the atlas.

Condition:
Reasonable condition. Backstrip detached, boards worn at edges, some foxing, in reasonable original condition (no restorations). Contemporary coloring.
