One of the earliest maps of the region north of the Black Sea, the Crimea and the southern steppes of Ukraine, known in ancient times as Taurica Chersonesus, by Gerard Mercator.

The map comes from Jodocus Hondius Latin edition pocket atlas “Atlas minor” published by Cornelius Claesz and Johannes Janssonius in Amsterdam, 1607.
