Small map of the East Indies covering the coast of Indochina and Malaysia with the Philippines and Indonesia. It focuses on the Spice Islands and the important trade capitals of the region. The west coast of New Guinea is exaggerated and the southern coastline of Java is shown only by a dotted line. French text on verso.
Comes from the atlas “Atlas Minor de Gerard Mercator”, published by J. Hondius in Amsterdam 1613.

Condition:
Good condition. Original contemporary colouring. Small cracks of green color (due to oxidation). Few small splits and brownish spots on margin. Original condition – no restorations.
