Title:           “Regni Daniae Novißima et Accuratißima Tabula Per Nicolaum Visscher. cum Privil: Ordin: General: Belgii Foederati.”

Description:

Attractive and very detailed map of Denmark and the southern parts of Sweden and Norway, based on an earlier map by Frederick De Wit and even earlier map by Joan Blaeu. The title cartouche presents the Danish Coat of Arms surrounded by angels and two Danes with cattle, sheep and a horse.

Map comes from the atlas “Atlas Minor, sive geographia compendiosa qua orbis terrarum. . . ” published in Amsterdam c. 1690.
