Description:
Very nice map of the North America, after de L’Isle map published in 1700, which was the first map to reconnect California to the mainland. The tracks of a number of explorers routes are shown along the west coast.

The map comes from T. C. Lotter atlas „Atlas Novus Sive Tabulae Geographicae Totius Orbis Faciem, Partes, Imperia, Regna et Provincias exhibentes, exactissima cura iuxta recentissimas observation. Aeri incisae et venum expositae a Tibia Conrado Lotter, Calcogr. et Geographo…” published in Augsburg in 1770.
