Description:

Rare and detailed antique map of Southeast Asia, covering big part of Asia from India through China, Korea and Japan. Most of geographical information arrived from the missionary efforts of the Jesuits and from the English East India Company. The title is topped with abundant fruit, a putti holding silks, surrounded by treasures, monkey, elephant, tiger and a Chinese and Indian trader.

Comes from John Senex atlas “A New General Atlas of the World” published by Morden & Browne in London, 1721.
