Title:          “Statuum totius Italiae novissima repreaesentatio geographica simul exhibens Insuals Siciliae, Sardiniae, Corsicae et Maltae . . .”

Description:

Highly detailed map of Italy, Malta, Sicily, Corsica, Sardinia and parts of the Balkans and Adriatic. The title cartouche presents the portrait of Clement XII, the Lion of San Marco, the Medici coat of arms, the Papal coat of arms and the allegory of the Tiber river represented with an oar.

The map comes from the Johann Baptist Homann atlas “Atlas Novus Terrarum Orbis Imperia…“ published in Nuremberg 1730.
