Pair of decorative polar projection maps of the Northern and Southern hemispheres following the discoveries of Captain Cook in the late 18th century. The voyages which took place in the northern hemisphere are denoted with dates. On the sides there are tables of the climates and value of the degrees of the meridian and of those of the parallels in the different latitudes.
Comes from the atlas “Nuovo Atlante Geografico Universale delineato sulle ultime osservazioni” published in Rome, 1789.
