An early Sebastian Munster’s woodcut town view of Nördlingen im Ries, Bavaria, Germany, showing its medieval fortifications, the prominent St. George’s Church tower, and surrounding landscape. This is considered the oldest known pictorial document of the city of Nördlingen.

Map comes from the German edition of Sebastian Münster’s Cosmography, titled “Cosmographey oder beschreibung aller Länder…”, published in 1574 by Heinrich Petri in Basel.
