Description:

Attractive and very detailed map of the Africa, derived from Frederick de Wit’s map. The decorative cartouche includes Moorish traders, Black Africans, a child riding a large elephant and two lions reclining on the title block.

The map comes from the atlas “Atlas Bij Iustus Danckers in de Calverftraet inde Dancbaerheijt” published by Justus Danckerts in Amsterdam, 1690.
