Description:

Very detailed map of the Xantung (Shandong) and Peking (Hebei) provinces in China, based on Johannes Blaeu and the Jesuit Martino Martini. Decorative title cartouche including dedication to Severoli family placed at the top right corner and description about the district at the bottom. The map includes regions from provinces of Henan, Hebei, Shanxi, Shandong, Korean Peninsula and also cities Beijing and Tianjin. Great Wall of China is present too.

The map comes from Vincenzo Maria Coronelli’s atlas “Corso Geografico Universale” published in Venice, 1690.
