This rare political caricature map of Europe drawn from the ´Russian´ perspective showing the Russian tsar Nikolai II in the middle of the map. France is shown as Marianne riding a cockerel; Germany – stabbing a dagger into the forehead of a menacing bull; Sweden and Norway – two young embracing women; Great Britain – a naval captain riding a large warship; Austria-Hungary – the only country that is not represented by a human or animal form, but rather is shown as a graveyard surrounding a large fallen crown, foreshadowing the end of the Austro-Hungarian Empire; Finland – full of wild animals; Turkey – wearing a fez in front of the Hagia Sophia, is beheading women with a sickle a reference to the Armenian Genocide; Italy –  is keeping an eye on events to the north…

The map was first issued in Poland, drawn by Vladislav Levinsky, later was designed by French artist B. Crété and published by Delandre in Paris.
