Description:
The rare and very decorative copper engraving showing the eight different fish species. Among the depicted fish are a hammerhead shark and flying fishes. Plate 32.

The engraving comes from the John Johnston a natural history work dedicated to fishes “Historia naturalis animalium…” published in 1650 by the Merian’s publishing house in Frankfurt.
