Description:

The double-hemisphere world map on polar projections. California is shown as an island. Australia and New Zealand are shown with incomplete coastlines. The map contains six smaller astronomical spheres with Ptolemaic and Brahe solar systems.

Copper engraving comes from the atlas “Nieuwe Natuur- Geschied- en Handelkundige Zak- en Reisatlas.” engraved by J. Keizer, published by T. Gravius in Amsterdam, 1788.
